Blog Plagiarism is A Growing Problem

Is your blog content being ripped off?  Plagiarized?  Passed off as someone else's?  Apparently this is a bigger problem than I was aware, though it doesn't surprise me either.

An article in the Boston Globe, Online Plagiarism Strikes Blog World, recounts the experiences of several popular bloggers (none of them blogging about their business, these are personal blogs that are featured) whose content has been ripped off word for word.

Unfortunately, the more content there is online, the more opportunities there are to copy and paste and claim as your own. Don't do it.  A blog called Plagiarism Today helps bloggers combat plagiarism.  There are definitions of plagiarism and ways you can fight it.  You can also post a badge from Creative Commons declaring that your content is copyrighted.
